Dixie Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In a skillet, add sugar, syrup, water and salt.
    Boil until mixture cracks when tested in cold water.
    Add peanuts; boil on low heat 8 to 10 minutes.
    Nuts should be light brown in color. Remove from heat and stir in soda.
    Let foam up good.
    Pour out on a greased cookie sheet.
    When cold, break in pieces.
