Sauerbraten Hamburgers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, minced
1 egg
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 c. bread or cracker crumbs
1/3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
10 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
8 gingersnaps
1 doz. corn tortillas
4 to 6 eggs (according to preference)
cooking oil
1 Tbsp. butter (optional)
sour cream
salsa
cilantro
chopped onions
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cut tortillas into 8 pie-shaped pieces.
Pour 1/4 inch of cooking oil into a nonstick frying pan.
Fry tortillas lightly until softened, not crisp.
Drain oil.
Add a tablespoon of butter (optional).
Add eggs, lightly breaking yolks (do not beat eggs). Gently fold mixture over several times until eggs are cooked through and mixed well with the tortilla sections.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with sour cream, salsa, cilantro and chopped onions on the side.
Serves 2 as a complete meal or more if other foods, such as vegetables, etc., are served.
