Arizona Meat And Beans In Crock-Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. navy or pinto beans
    6 c. water
    1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
    1 c. onions, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck, cubed
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1/4 tsp. cumin
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Brown salt pork in large skillet. Remove with slotted spoon to cooker.
    Saute onions, garlic and green pepper.
    In pan drippings, brown beef a few pieces at a time. Remove with slotted spoon to cooker.
    Add salt, oregano, red pepper, cumin and tomato sauce to cooker.
    Stir.
    Add more water if necessary to bring liquid level above beans.
    Cover.
    Cook on low 190\u00b0 to 200\u00b0 for 10 hours.\tOr cook on high 290\u00b0 or 300\u00b0 for 6 hours or until beans are tender.
