Linda'S Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 oz. red food coloring
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 oz. water
    1/3 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar, Crisco, cake flour, cocoa and salt.
    Blend well. Add 2/3 cup buttermilk, food coloring, eggs, vanilla, water and 1/3 cup more buttermilk.
    Beat well.
    Stir in by hand, vinegar and soda.
    Bake in 2 layer pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
