5-Bean Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground beef
    1 chopped onion
    1 can light red kidney beans
    1 can chick peas
    1 can dark red kidney beans
    1 can pinto beans
    1 can black-eyed peas
    1 (16 oz.) whole tomatoes, hand crushed
    1 (12 oz.) can beer
    2 cloves garlic
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cumin
    red pepper flakes to taste
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
    olive oil
    Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions in oil over medium-high heat.
    Cook until onion is transluscent.
    Add ground beef and garlic.
    Brown and drain (do not scorch garlic).
    Stir in remaining dry ingredients, except beans. Hand-crush tomatoes and add juice and all to mixture.
    Add beans and beer.
    Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Taste and adjust seasonings if desired (more cayenne and hot red pepper flakes for hotter chili).
