Fruit Cake (Light) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fruit (dates, pineapple, etc.)
    1 lb. nuts
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 lb. cherries
    4 eggs
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix fruit and nuts together.
    (Do not chop.)
    Beat yolks and whites separately.
    Add vanilla to yolks.
    Pour yolks over the nut mixture slowly.
    Sift dry ingredients 3 times.
    Add dry ingredients and beaten whites to fruit and nut mixture.
    Put in oven at 250\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Do not preheat oven before putting cake in.
