Bavarian Cold Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, chopped fine
    1 tsp. non-iodized salt
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. celery, chopped finely
    2 c. bell peppers, chopped
    2 c. carrots, chopped
Preparation
    Mix salt in cabbage and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    Heat sugar and vinegar in saucepan; set aside and cool.
    Mix celery, bell peppers and carrots with cabbage.
    Pour vinegar and sugar over it and seal tightly.
    Refrigerate.
    Will keep up to 6 weeks.
