Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. medium cukes, sliced thin (not peeled)
    8 onions (thin)
    2 green peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    5 c. sugar
    5 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Let come to a boil (do not boil).
    Put in jars and seal while hot.
    Yields 8 pints.
