Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. self-rising meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
3 eggs, beaten slightly
1 jalapeno pepper
2 c. grated cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix all the ingredients except cheese. Flour and grease pan.
Pour half the batter into pan.
Sprinkle grated cheese over batter.
Add rest of batter and put more grated cheese on top.
Cook for 30 minutes.
