Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal mix
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg
1/4 c. finely chopped onions
1 c. milk
1 tsp. garlic powder
10 drops liquid sweetener

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Should be thick enough to push from spoon into deep, hot cooking oil.
If not, add a small amount of corn meal mix.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep, very hot cooking oil, being careful not to splatter.
Cook until hush puppies are brown all over.
