Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. shrimp (optional: crab, sausage and chicken)
2 bunches green onions
1 Tbsp. paprika
okra (optional)
salt to taste
2 cloves garlic
1/2 bell pepper
2 Tbsp. file
dash of red pepper (cayenne)
Preparation

Make Roux:
Brown 1/2 cup flour in oil (make consistency to be like thick pea soup).
Stir at all times.
Let it get very brown (a red brown).
Take off fire.
Pour in all ingredients.
Add water until thin.
Let cook and come to a boil.
Simmer, covered, for hours.
Serve over rice, plain or sprinkle more file over it.
