Ingredients

2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Preparation

Coarsely chop the chocolate.
Set aside.
Stir sugar and cornstarch together in a small saucepan until blended.
Gradually stir in milk until blended; add chopped chocolate.
Cook, stirring over medium heat until chocolate is melted and mixture begins to boil.
Cook, stirring, until thickened (about 5 minutes).
Stir in salt and vanilla.
Pour into 4 custard cups.
Cool at room temperature before serving.
Can be garnished with whip cream or berries of your choice.
