Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, sliced
    3 medium tomatoes, sliced
    3 carrots
    3 celery stalks, sliced
    4 cabbage leaves, coarsely chopped
    4 medium zucchini, sliced
    2 medium potatoes, coarsely chopped
    1 lb. fresh peas
    1 lb. fresh green beans, cut in 1-inch lengths
    4 Tbsp. oil
    1 1/2 qt. water
    2 to 3 basil leaves
    1 c. tortellini or other pasta
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
    Add water, carrots, celery, potatoes and green beans.
    Continue cooking until tender.
    Add zucchini, cabbage, peas and pasta during last 15 minutes.
    For added flavor, stir in 1 or 2 tablespoons pesto sauce.
