Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 stick butter
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time; mix well.
    Then add flour and soda alternately with the buttermilk; mix well.
    Beat egg whites stiff. Fold in batter and cream together.
    Fold in coconut and nuts. Bake in layers at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
