Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/4 c. cornstarch or 1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. coconut
3 egg yolks
Preparation

Blend sugar, egg yolks and flour; then add to milk.
Cook until thick.
Remove from fire; add butter, coconut and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell.
Top with meringue.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes until meringue is browned.
Yields 1 pie.
