Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 qt. popped corn
    1 lb. light brown sugar (2 1/2 c.)
    2 sticks margarine
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cook brown sugar, margarine and corn syrup slowly and stir often until soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat and add soda, salt and cream of tartar.
    Pour over popcorn slowly and stir well until coated.
    Spread into ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 200\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Turn often with pancake turner.
    Remove from oven and let cool.
    Ready to eat.
    Store in airtight container.
