2 c. Martha White self-rising corn meal mix
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. vegetable oil or melted shortening
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0. Grease skillet or pan; place in oven to heat. Combine ingredients in order listed; blend well. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Makes one 9-inch skillet or one 9-inch square pan.
