Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up
    2 cans mushroom soup
    1 c. rice
    2 c. water
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    cheese, sliced
    bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook rice as usual in the 2 cups of water.
    Boil chicken until it comes off bone easily; save the broth.
    Place rice in bottom of large baking dish (2 quarts or more).
    Add chicken (off bone) on top of rice.
    Pour both cans of soup over chicken; add onion and 1 cup of broth.
    Place sliced cheese on top, then cover with bread crumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
