7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped Spanish onion
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 to 6 oz. shredded Parmesan or Cheddar cheese
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, defrosted (cool)
    8 strips bacon, cooked, cooled and crumbled
Preparation
    Shred lettuce in strips and fill bowl 1/2 to 2/3 full.
    Layer celery, peppers and onions.
    Layer peas on top.
    Mix mayonnaise and sugar and layer on top.
    Add cheese.
    Add bacon.
    Needs 8 hours to chill.
