Minnie'S Old Fashioned Stock Pot - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. diced beef
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. carrots (1/2-inch cubes)
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 crumbled bay leaf
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
3 qt. cold water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 lb. soup bones
2 c. chopped celery (including tops)
1 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. diced turnips
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. chopped parsley
Preparation

Cut meat that is slightly frozen into cubes.
Cook in hot, melted shortening until brown.
Add water, salt and soup bones. Heat to boiling on surface temperature of 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour on medium.
