Salmon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pink salmon
    1 egg
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Drain salmon, keeping 2 tablespoons of the liquid.
    Mix salmon, egg and onion in mixing bowl until mixture is sticky. Stir in flour.
    Add baking powder to the 2 tablespoons of reserved liquid.
    Stir into salmon mixture.
    Form into small patties, using hands.
