Oprah'S Corn Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

vegetable oil cooking spray
1 c. chopped onion
6 c. fresh corn kernels (12 ears), with any milk collected when removed from the cob, or 6 c. frozen corn
3 c. chicken broth, fat skimmed off
1/2 c. chopped red bell pepper
1/2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
ground red pepper (cayenne), to taste
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
Preparation

Preheat a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat for about 1 minute.
Spray it twice with the oil.
Saute onion for 5 minutes or until translucent.
Add 4 cups corn and saute for 4 to 5 minutes, until it softens a bit.
Add 2 cups broth and cook 20 minutes or until corn is very tender.
