Custard Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 beaten egg yolks
    1/4 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 c. milk, scalded
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine beaten egg yolks, salt and sugar. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Cook in double boiler over hot water until mixture coats spoon, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Chill 2 1/2 hours.
