Jalapeno Corn Bread Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. oil
    1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1/4 c. chopped jalapenos or green chillies
    1 onion, chopped
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain.
    In large bowl, combine meal, milk, eggs, salt, soda, oil and corn.
    Pour half the batter into greased iron skillet dusted with meal.
    Add meat and top with remaining batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Yields 6 servings.
