Date And Nut Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. dates, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Chill in icebox.
    Divide batter into 2 parts.
    Roll and spread with date and nut mixture.
    Store in icebox overnight.
    Slice and bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
