Pecan Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted enriched flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
Preparation
    Sift flour.
    Take out 1 tablespoon flour to dredge pecans. Add salt, baking soda and sugar.
    Sift again; beat eggs and add to dry ingredients.
    Add milk gradually.
    Add shortening or butter. Add nuts.
    Bake in well-greased pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until well done.
