Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. old-time round cheese
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Let cheese and butter stand out of refrigerator until softened overnight.
    Grate cheese fine.
    Cream cheese and butter well. Add flour, salt, pepper and baking powder.
    Dough should be firm enough to handle.
    Roll in rolls to run through press.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    (Can roll into a roll, refrigerate and then slice and bake if you don't have a press.)
