Homemade No Ham Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 large clove garlic, pressed
    1 bag lentils, rinsed
    3 celery stalks, chopped
    4 carrots, grated
    1 pkg. frozen spinach
    salt to taste
Preparation
    In large kettle, saute onions and garlic until onions are pearly.
    Add all other ingredients to kettle.
    Add water to cover about 1-inch above ingredients.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for 2 hours.
    Soup will thicken dramatically.
    You may have to add more water to your liking.
    Soup is done when lentils are tender.
