Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. water
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
    1/2 lb. pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, water, vinegar and salt to 262\u00b0 or very firm ball stage.
    Beat slowly into well beaten egg whites.
    Add nuts and vanilla when mixture begins to thicken.
    Drop by spoonfuls on heavy waxed paper.
    Store in an airtight container.
