Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. bread, broken in pieces
    4 c. scalded milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. butter
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Soak bread in milk for 5 minutes.
    Add sugar and butter.
    Pour slowly over eggs.
    Add vanilla and mix well.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Bake in pan of hot water at 350\u00b0 until firm, about 1 hour.
