Sweet-Sour Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. green beans
    4 strips bacon
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    5 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Break tips from green beans and cook in 1-inch boiling water for 25 to 35 minutes.
    Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Fry until crisp, then drain.
    Add chopped onion to bacon drippings and saute for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Stir in vinegar, sugar, salt and dry mustard; bring to a boil.
    Drain beans and pour hot mixture over them. Sprinkle bacon pieces on top and toss lightly.
    Serves 4 to 6.
