Wreath Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. warm water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 cans filling (any kind you desire)
    cherries
    3/4 c. milk, scalded
    1/3 c. shortening
    3 or 4 c. flour, sifted
    powdered sugar
    pecans
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Scald milk and pour over shortening,
    sugar
    and salt.
    When mixture cools to lukewarm, add the
    dissolved
    yeast
    and
    add
    the flour and beat until smooth, add
    the
    remaining flour until soft dough is formed. Knead about
    5
    minutes, place dough in greased bowl until it rises to double its size.
    Take dough out and roll until about a
    fourth of inch thick.
    After you have rolled it out spread both cans
    of the
    filling over it.
    Roll up and shape into a wreath.
    Slit
    top of
    roll.
    Let
    rise
    30 minutes.
    Bake on greased
    pan at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until done.
    Glaze with powdered
    sugar
    icing while still warm.
    Decorate with pecans and cherries as desired.
