Irish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten well
    1 (1/2 c.) stick butter or margarine
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. golden and dark raisins, mixed
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, milk and flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
    Mix alternately, then add the raisins.
    Sprinkle top with sugar.
    Bake in floured and greased loaf pan for 1 hour.
    Test for doneness.
    May take a little longer.
    Remove from oven; brush top with butter.
    Remove from pan.
    Cool 10 minutes on rack.
