Red Devils Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add cocoa.
    Add eggs.
    Add flour alternately with milk which the soda has been dissolved in.
    Add boiling water and vanilla.
    Very good moist chocolate cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Makes 9 x 13-inch or 2 layers.
