French Breakfast Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening (soft)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix together thoroughly the shortening, sugar and egg.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
    Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture alternately with 1/2 cup milk. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
    Bake until golden brown at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Immediately roll in 6 tablespoons melted butter, then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
    Freezes beautifully.
