Peanut Butter Stars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
milk or chocolate stars or kisses

Preparation

Beat first 5 ingredients as directed.
Add flour and baking powder.
Shape dough into 2 (11-inch) rolls.
Wrap.
Chill for 4 hours.
Cut each roll into 1/2-inch thick slices.
Dip in sugar and place on baking sheets (ungreased).
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Immediately press chocolate star in center of each cookie.
