Granny Minor'S Favorite Persimmon Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. persimmom pulp
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 pt. sweet milk
    4 eggs, well beaten
    4 c. plain flour, sifted
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Make sure that persimmons have been collected after the 1st frost to assure that they will be sweet not bitter.
    Add soda and sugar to persimmon pulp and beat well.
    Add milk and beaten eggs and stir in thoroughly.
    Add sifted flour and beat until smooth. Add butter (melted but not hot) and stir in well.
    Pour into a greased and floured baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until firm and lightly brown.
    Cut into squares and serve hot or cold.
