Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2/3 c. Crisco
    10 Tbsp. water
    apples
    1 stick oleo, cut into pats
    sugar, 1/4 c. for each dumpling
    brown sugar, 1 Tbsp. for each dumpling
    cinnamon to sprinkle on each
Preparation
    Work Crisco into flour until texture of corn meal.
    Add water; stir with a fork and then, very lightly, work with hands, like for pie dough.
    Peel and core apples.
    Put a pat of oleo in core hole. Pinch off a piece of dough and roll out into a square large enough to cover apple.
    Put apple on top; sprinkle with sugars and cinnamon.
    Then, corner to corner, pinch together and seal.
    Place on a cookie sheet.
    Repeat with remaining dough.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
