Shrimp And Sausage Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. peeled shrimp
    1/2 lb. smoked sausage
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. minced celery
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 minced onion
    1 Tbsp. minced bell pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 sprig thyme
    1 c. washed rice (uncooked)
    dash of cayenne or red pepper
Preparation
    Cut sausage into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Salt shrimp; fry in hot oil quickly until brown.
    Set aside.
    Fry sausage until well browned; drain off fat.
    Put shrimp back in pot.
    Add minced vegetables and tomato sauce; heat until cooked down, stirring often.
    Add rice; fry until brown.
    Add water and spices.
    Cover; simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring only once, until rice is tender.
