Ingredients

4 c. blackberries
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 stick (1/2 c.) margarine
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
Preparation

Combine blackberries, 1 cup sugar and cornstarch in bowl, mixing well.
Spoon into 9-inch square pan.
Combine margarine, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, salt and vanilla in saucepan.
Bring to boil; cool to lukewarm.
Stir in baking powder and flour.
Pour over blackberries and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
