Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 small egg
pinch of salt
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
chocolate chips
nuts

Preparation

Mix together the melted butter, sugar, egg, salt, flour, soda and vanilla.
Place into lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 320\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
Put small package of chocolate chips over when removed from oven.
When melted, spread over top. Chopped nuts can be added on top.
Kids love them.
