Peanut Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. plain Spanish peanuts (1 lb.)
3 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
1 stick oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
3 drops red food coloring
Preparation

Mix sugar, Karo syrup and water and bring to a boil, then add peanuts.
Cook to hard ball stage.
Turn fire out, add oleo, vanilla and red food coloring.
Beat until loses gloss, then spread on wax paper on cookie sheet.
Break like peanut brittle.
