"Mrs. Alexandra'S" Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add flour 1 cup at a time.
    Knead with your hands until dough cleans the bowl. Divide into 4 balls.
    Flatten with hands on ungreased cookie sheet to 1/4-inch thick.
    Prick with a fork.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for approximately 25 minutes or lightly browned.
    Remove and sprinkle with sugar immediately and cut into wedges or strips.
