Mrs. Boyer'S Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    butter (size of egg)
    1 egg
    2/3 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix and bake at 350\u00b0.
    Can add fresh fruit to this cake before baking. Bake in a 9-inch baking pan.
