English Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    corn meal as needed
    2 c. warm water
    4 tsp. salt
    5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix and roll into 1/4 to 3/8-inch thick sheet.
    Cut and place individual pieces on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle with corn meal.
    Allow to rise to double size.
    Bake 7 minutes at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0.
    Turn and bake 7 additional minutes.
    Makes 18 muffins.
