Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can sour pitted red cherries
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    few grains salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix 2 tablespoons flour and sugar with cherries in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Sift together 1 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening and add milk to make a soft dough.
    Roll dough out on lightly floured board to fit utensil and score in 6 squares.
    Place over cherries.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until brown.
