Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs
    1 can evaporated milk
    1/2 gal. milk
    6 to 8 cooking spoons sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Cream yolks with sugar.
    Add vanilla, cream and milk.
    Cook over low heat until mixture comes to boiling point.
    Boil slightly.
    Beat 12 whites with enough sugar to hold together. When milk mixture is finished, sprinkle with nutmeg. Fold egg whites into milk.
    Serve.
    Add spirits if desired. Serves 10 to 12 people.
