Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil
1 c. crushed cornflakes
1/2 c. coconut, shredded
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add egg, mixing well, then salad oil; mix thoroughly. Add oats, cornflakes, coconut, nuts and vanilla; stirring to combine.
Add flour, soda and salt.
Mix well. form into balls about the size of small walnuts.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a fork dipped in water.
Bake for 12 minutes. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes before removing. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
