Hungarian Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 large onion
    1 tsp. paprika
    1 lb. chicken, beef or veal, sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced
    1 stalk celery
    1 tomato (fresh or canned)
    1 bay leaf
    2 cloves garlic
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 to 2 c. water
    1 or 2 potatoes, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put oil in a pan.
    Finely slice onion and fry in oil until golden brown.
    Add paprika.
    Stir it around and add meat.
    Add green pepper, celery, chopped tomato, bay leaf and cloves.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Steam the meat until it draws juice, then sprinkle flour on meat.
    Add water and simmer until tender (about 2 hours).
    Add potatoes for the last 1/2 hour.
    Serve with rice, noodles or bread dumplings.
    Serves 4 to 6.
