Liver Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. beef liver
    2 Tbsp. butter
    dash of salt
    dash of pepper
    1 egg
    1/2 clove garlic, crushed, or pinch of marjoram
    1 1/2 c. bread crumbs (approximately)
Preparation
    Grind liver. (I use blender.)
    Cream butter with salt and egg. Add balance of ingredients; mix into a stiff dough.
    Form into balls, each the size of a walnut.
    Test dough by boiling just one dumpling at first to make sure it does not fall apart; if dough is not thick enough to adhere, add more bread crumbs.
    Simmer dumplings 3 to 5 minutes.
    Serve with soup.
